Sounds of urban jungle! Meet the first artists we will see in July on the green square in front of Impart. 

At the moment, we know four performers who will play in Wrocław on 15-16 July. On the first day, NANGA will perform – a band brought to life by Filip Różański and Maciej Dzierżanowski, i.e. Lao Che’s keyboard player and drummer, who invited Karol Gola (also Lao Che) and Magda Dubrowska (Gang Śródmieście, Utrata Skład) to collaborate.  The adventure – into which this brilliant combination of experienced musicians set off – brought the album Cisza w bloku. Strong lyrics, rapped stories, rough vocals and a solid portion of electronica are the foundations of this release. Then SZCZYL will appear on stage – a musical revelation of recent months, an artist bringing a breath of youth, sensitivity and Baltic ease to the Polish rap scene. His album Polska Floryda was included in most summaries of the best albums of 2021, and the musician himself is constantly increasing the number of awards and nominations for his artistic activity.

The next day will bring a concert of a duo RYSY, created by producers Wojtek Urbański and Łukasz Stachurko. Their music is a resultant of progressive dance rhythms built on extremely melancholic, yet catchy melodies. They will be accompanied on the WROsound stage by two talented vocalists: Justyna Święs and Michał Anioł. The first foreign guest of the festival is Janus Rasmussen, well known from the line-up of Kiasmos. If you’ve seen the duo live, it’s worth checking out their solo material as well. Rasmussen knows all about deft mid-tempo rhythms, synths and nuances that create a unique atmosphere during live performances. The artist tested the material for his debut album during his DJ sets all over the world – although these were often still unfinished tracks.

This year’s edition of WROsound festival – organized by Strefa Kultury Wrocław – will take place on 15-16 July on the square in front of Impart. Soon we will know more performers of the event.
