This year’s edition of the WROsound Festival is made for fans of music, lifestyle, nice memories and hashtags. First of all, the event will take place in a different season – it was moved from December to June – and secondly, it will leave the walls of Impart in order to move to its backyard and give rise to a new tradition – running the event in an open-air form. We focus on three solid foundations – awesome music, fast and varied food offer (Gastro Nocki) and the setting, which will be built according to the official slogan of this year’s edition: #backyard. That’s why the backyard itself will be turned into a place for meetings, described with a rather large number of hashtags, as well as the backdrop for musical events for two consecutive days.
This year’s edition is curated by the Wrocław-based EABS septet. Under their auspices, this year’s edition will be a fusion of jazz, hip-hop, electronic music and fresh urban sounds. The stage will host Polish and international artists, the majority of whom will present new material. Among others, EABS will take this opportunity to play their new album Slavic Spirits (to be released at the end of October) with guest appearance by Tenderlonious, Naphta And The Shamans will present their second album, while Tenderlonious & the 22archestra will play the day after the premiere of The Shakedown – their latest release. Each festival day will end with a silent disco in the backyard, during which Polish and international DJs will present their unique and very diverse sets.
This year’s edition was also joined by well-known players in the music, catering and lifestyle scene in Wrocław, who already have their own, faithful audiences. The line-up features Gastro Nocki, which after a spectacular success in 2017 left Świebodzki Railway Station and started their tour of Wrocław, as well as RAPszalet – a project run by friends, for friends, which offers rap sounds served by the best selectors from Wrocław and beyond. They were given free reign of the outdoor zone in Społeczny Square in front of Impart, with free admission and entry throughout the entire festival.
