KAMP! is one of key electronic bands on the Polish music scene, which has been active for more than 10 years now. Right from the get-go, the band features producers – Michał Słodowy, Radek Krzyżanowski and Tomek Szpaderski, who’s the band’s vocalist.
They debuted in 2009 with the THALES ONE EP. The first foreign release came in 2011 on Portugal’s Discotexas. The CAIRO single became a commercial hit, which led the band to record their debut album KAMP! released by their own Brennnessel label. Dream-pop melodies, which go hand in hand with house tracks resulted in sales in excess of 10,000 copies and great interest from clubs and festivals around the world – from Shanghai, London and Prague to Los Angeles.
In the summer of 2014, KAMP! released an EP on New York’s Cascine label as one of the few Polish bands with such an established position in the Western music industry. This step opened up opportunities for promoting their music abroad.
2015 saw the band release their second album – the dance and contemplative Orneta, after which the musicians played a special session for Boiler Room, among others. The next step for the musicians was a recording session at Red Bull Studio in Brazil, where they created two songs later released as singles in 2017 – Deny and Turn My Back On You with the help of Bartosz Dziedzic.
Their third album – DARE – was released on 17 September 2018 by the Agora publishing house to resounding acclaim from the press (including Gazeta Wyborcza, Newsweek, Vouge Polska) and great popularity on streaming services.
Over the course of their career, KAMP! travelled on the border of pop and electronic music, winning over audiences on both sides; however, they consider their affair with electronic pop to be over. They look for their roots in techno music – and this is the direction we can expect in their new live show.
On 22 October 2019, they released their first live album.
