Addison Groove, a British icon of bass music and the creator of Footcrab – one of the best pieces of music of the last decade, is going to perform in Wrocław as part of the 9th WROsound Festival (1-2 December) under the supervision of Marcin Cichy. Also performing at Impart are going to be, among others, Alex Smoke, Lone and Long Arm, as well as Coals, Kroki, Janka and Normal Bias. Tickets and passes are already available.

Addison Groove (Antony Williams) appeared on the music scene under the pseudonym Headhunter. By releasing albums and singles on 12″ vinyls under the patronage of the iconic Tempa label, the artist has reached the status of a legend on the dubstep scene. His unique musical pieces have been released by the label as many as seven times – up until now the only artist to to achieve this feat was Skream. In 2010, under the pseudonym Addison Groove, Williams released one of the best pieces of music of the last decade. Footcrab has become a phenomenon, receiving great reviews and achieving commercial success on the dance, house and techno scenes. Addison Groove’s music, influenced by the footwork and juke scenes in Chicago, had a colossal and unprecedented influence on the bass scene in the Great Britain. The artist is going to perform in Wrocław on 2 December.

This year, the supervisor of the event presenting the “Wrocław sound” is Marcin Cichy from the Skalpel group. ‘The WROsound is a great opportunity to organise a festival… of my dreams. To invite the artists whom I like and whom had an influence on me. To do something that I would gladly come to see myself’, he comments.

During WROsound, we will witness the very first performance of Meeting by Chance, Cichy’s own solo project, which will soon be released by one of the oldest alternative labels – R&S Records. As part of the showcase of the British label, we will also see Alex Smoke and Lone. We will also have guests from the other side of Europe – Long Arm, hailing from St. Petersburg.

The Polish accents during the festival can all be summed up with one word – “first”. The first album by Coals, the first performance of the mysterious Janka project, dub Normal Bias or Żółć – a largely unknown band from Wrocław. Apart from that, we are also going to see the debut release by Kroki. Additionally, we are also going to enjoy Club Alpino (Iceland), a project of Marek Jeżyna, a musician from Wrocław.

On December 1 and 2, Impart will turn into a club space with three stages and a chillout room, all filled with unique sound. Tickets for both festival days and passes for the entire festival are available for purchase in advance from October 30 at 3:00 p.m. A limited number of tickets is available at 30 PLN per ticket and 50 PLN per pass. After the limited promotional batch runs out, the prices will rise to 40 and 60 PLN, respectively. During the event, tickets will cost 50 PLN and passes – 80 PLN. Tickets are available from Impart ticket office, located at Mazowiecka 17, at www.wroclaw2016.pl, www.eventim.pl as well as from Empik, Media Markt and Saturn stores.
